Summery

A tooth extracting tool including an elongated handle and a pair of tooth engaging members extending out of one end of the handle and a pneumatic or hydraulic piston for tightly gripping the tooth to be extracted between the pair of tooth engaging members. This invention relates to a potentially economically viable process for the destruction of small to large quantities of halogenated hydrocarbons, their homologous/analogues, and similar hazardous chemicals at ambient conditions using the superoxide ion in deep eutectic solvents. The currently used method for the destruction of halogenated hydrocarbons is incineration at high temperature. It was found that very toxic materials are formed during this process, e.g. dioxins.

The method proposed in this invention will save energy and prevents the formation of toxic by products.

Summery

The current innovation is related to a novel Spine pedicle screw guide (PSG) that aims to enhance the accuracy of pedicle screw insertion and improving the safety of lumbar spine instrumentation. PSG is a simple guide that is based on cannulating the pedicle screw at the mid-point of the pedicle of the vertebra as recognized on axial pre-operative image (Computed tomography scan, CT, or Magnetic Resonance Image, MRI). PSG has the flexibility to adjust for variable insertion angles of screw insertion to accommodate patient anatomy. Interestingly, this device provides the ability to insert the screws into two- pedicles of vertebrae at the same time then insert the screws into the adjacent vertebrae without moving the base of the device. Only the top could slide up and down. This is an advantage over previous devices that insert only one pedicle at a time of one vertebra at a time. With this feature, the use of confirmatory x-rays Antero-posterior and lateral) is much less. The devise is also patient specific since it relies on patient’s own measurements.

Summery The adjustable build envelope for powder bed fusion machines includes a frame in the build chamber having four movable sides, a base and two motors with lead screws. The motors are placed at an angle of 45° with respect to the side of the frame, so that as the motors rotate the lead screws, the two sides of the frame slide in opposite directions. The sides move inward with the help of guide pins and dovetail grooves, thereby reducing the build envelope volume. For large builds, both motors rotate in the reverse direction to increase the build envelope volume. By changing the build envelope volume according to the given build size, powder waste is reduced
