Deputy Deanship for Administrative and Financial Affairs

Dr. Mamdooh S. Al-Saud

Mamdooh Received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from King Saud University, College of Engineering, Electrical Engineering Department. Since 1997 he has been working at King Saud University where he involved in researches in the area of reliability and security assessment of power supply systems, in conjunction to teaching assistant several academic courses related to adequacy of supply and reliability evaluation. He joined McMaster University, Canada in Sep, 2002 where he was pursuing his Ph.D in area of design and operation of distribution systems in application of underground cables. He completed his degree in July, 2007. At the present, he is working as an associate professor at electrical engineering department, in addition to his position as a deputy director of Center of Excellence for Research in Engineering Materials as well as the vice-deanship for administrative and financial affairs of the Advanced Manufacturing Institute.  His research area includes: design and operation of distribution system, power system reliability and security assessment, application of artificial intelligence in power system design, load management, smart grid and renewable energy.
